Day 78: Paid Bills Online

Day 78: Paid Bills Online

Used this thing called the “internet” to pay my bills online.

Not only is paper saved in doing this, but so are the cost of stamps.

The EPA says that each year the US uses about 85 million tons of paper and paperboard.

Think about how all of these small acts can help to decrease paper waste and that number.

What was your simple green act for the day?

I wish more companies had paperless options.

Along the same lines, when I send or give someone a gift for a wedding or a baby, I write in the card to skip a Thank-you card, and send me an email instead. I think we all need to adjust our standards. When we had our baby, we had postcards printed for people far away, so we saved on not using paper for envelopes.

Yes. Totally agree Tammy. It's funny how people do certain things "just because that's the way it's done."
