Day 218: Threw Waste in Garbage Instead of Toilet
After blowing my nose in the bathroom, I threw the tissue into the wastebasket instead of the toilet.
According to the book Shift Your Habit if your home toilets are flushed four times less per day, you can, “Conserve 5,100 gallons of water or more per year. If you are concerned about this tip generating additional landfill waste, there’s no need to worry. Any solid waste that ends up at the sewage treatment plant is ultimately shipped to the landfill anyway.”
