Day 224: Covered Pot To Boil Water
Besides putting the small pot on the small burner, I also put a cover on pot to boil water.
According to Energy Star if you, “Use the right sized pot on stove burners. A 6″ pot on an 8″ burner wastes over 40 percent of the burner’s heat. Also, cover pots and pans to keep heat in.”
Boiling water with the lid on also takes 20% less time than an uncovered pot.
