Day 285: Didn’t Wash Hands After Peeing

Day 285: Didn't Wash Hands After Peeing
After using the bathroom, I didn’t wash my hands.

I am sure that there will be some haters out there that will say, “That’s gross.”

To that I say that my junk is clean. I question your sanitary habits. You go to the bathroom, take care of your business, tuck your clothes back in and then wash your hands. Then you open the door by touching the door knob, which is contaminated.

If you were really that hardcore about it, you’d walk over to the sink with your pants around your ankles. So stop being a damned germophobe.

I also didn’t flush the toilet when I was done either.

According to the American Water Works Association, Daily indoor per capita water use in the typical single family home is 69.3 gallons with 15.7% of that going to faucets.

What was your simple green act for the day?

The question is [after you had all the door knobs touched] had you washed your hand before you touched your self?

I disagree. It's like shooting backfire. Think of the amount of diseases that humanity was able to win thanks to the simple act of washing hands frequently.
Simple hygiene habits bring us health, so fewer trips to the doctor / hospital, less drugs, etc, which is very greener.
The problem is that people think that faucet is waterfall. No need to turn it on at the maximum. And while soaping, turn it off.

    W/e...
off topic... u know, i have been thinking about one particular thing in etiquette in tables, and the use of the dishes, spoons etc... whats a tremendous waste of water, and the soap we make flowing to the sea cause of it.

  • Most definitely. I usually bring my own silverware and napkins. Also turn down water when I know that I"m not going to drink anymore.

I'm okay with "If it's yellow, let it mellow; if it's brown, flush it down." But not washing your hands after??? Nope. MUST do that! Absolutely MUST do that!! But you do have good points about the door knob -- I push the door open with my elbow, if possible.

  • I don't get why washing your hands is an absolute must.

b/c of the Hepatitis B... for example... that is one way of contracting it.
