Day 80: Renewed Library Book Online

Day 80: Renewed Library Book Online

Instead of going to the library to renew the book that I have checked out, I renewed it online.

How is this green you ask? It’s green because when you go to the library to renew the book, the automatically print out a receipt for you. By renewing online, I skip the paper receipt.

The other day I also used the internet to pay my bills online as well.

The EPA says that each year the US uses about 85 million tons of paper and paperboard.

Think about how all of these small acts can help to decrease paper waste and that number.

What was your simple green act for the day?

    Wow! Your skin looks radiant!

Thanks for the reminder. I often walk to the library to renew books, but I should just call them.

Thanks. I've been taking special care of it.

I wonder if you could ask for no receipt. I know at my library that it's automatically generated.
