Day 161: Turned Off Heat and Put On A Sweatshirt
Since I’m the only one in the apartment, I turned the heater off and put on a sweatshirt.
I’m on the road in LA. When I woke up this morning the heater was on. This 50 degree “cold weather” is a warm front compared to the 20 degrees that I just came from.
If you don’t want to shut the heat off all together, you can lower your thermostat a bit and still save. According to Daily Green Ideas, “By turning down your thermostat just 2 degrees you can save around 5% on your energy bill each month and will cut down your CO2 emissions by about 500 to 600 pounds per year.”
What was your simple green act for the day?
