Day 284: Put Five-Minute Timer in Shower
I put a five-minute sand timer in the shower. It was put in there as a way to remind someone as to how much water can be saved by shortening your shower.
Plus I’m 5-years old and like to see how fast I can take a shower when I actually take one.
I’ve been able to take a two-minute shower and that includes peeing in the shower.
The real challenge is to see if this can be done when you shower with somebody.
According to The West Basin Municipal Water District, a five-minute shower saves:
- 5 gallons a day
- 150 gallons a month
- 1,825 gallons a year
What was your simple green act for the day?
